Harbour in St Mawes, Cornwall
Local attractions St Mawes harbour

St.Mawes is undoubtably the jewel in the Roseland Peninsula's crown: possibly the most lovely seaside village in Cornwall.

Continental in atmosphere with its cafés and restaurants, St.Mawes enjoys safe beaches, hidden coves, National Trust coastal paths, crabbing in the harbour and sheltered sailing waters of the Percuil River.

Across the water lies Falmouth (accessible via passenger ferry) with shopping, restaurants and the National Maritime Museum - while the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are within easy reach by car, as are the King Harry ferry and the famous gardens at Glendurgan, Trelissick and Trebah.

The local sailing school teaches adults and children to sail, windsurf and canoe, and there is an annual regatta in August.
